no more email subscription updates

Last week I suddenly could not post pics because on MY BROWSER there is no longer a tool bar with various options. Such as: posting pics, font selection (type & size), color, smiley faces, etc. I wrote asking for help & NEVER received any responses. Ok , I can live WITHOUT being able to post pics as I can put them in a Picasa Album & send the link. But today (as of 8am) I am no longer receiving emails...AGAIN~! I've really HAD IT~! I've been a member for almost 4 years & I'm pretty much DONE~!! This struggle to keep in touch with other " Chicken Enthusiasts" is no longer worth the time & effort. I'm busy & don't have time to email with questions as to "WHY IS THIS GOING ON????????:?: & WHY DOESN"T (you pick a topic) this work any longer????????

I can certainly understand your frustrations.......it bothers me and Im just new here. Its just weird that email notifications were working flawlessly at first and then, now I never get any. By the looks of this thread,,,it appears that its been a very long ongoing problem here, and it doesnt seem like theres really been a true cure for it.

With the exception of PM notifications, I received NO subscriptions emails again today. Then a half dozen appearred in my email inbox at 6:12 p.m. tonight.

In looking back at some of my listings, I didn't receive an automatic notifier to several of my listings that someone posted a response ..... Some of these were 1 week old, 5 days old, etc. I'm just wondering if I need to select Immediate as the default on all my posts?

I am on Mozilla and this has not been a problem in the past. Operating System is Windows 7. Thanks and have a blessed day.

It doesnt matter if you select "immediate" or not...I have tried all the different settings, including deleting ALL of my subscriptions and the resubscribing. I am running windows 7 as well. Honestly, I think its a problem with the forum itself, maybe a BBC code glitch/error and nothing we can do to fix it. It sucks to have to go searching for posts to read the updates though.

I am still not getting any.
I reset the subs to daily digest, and it goes right back to "site only" notification.

Makes having sales or auctions near impossible...................

Arent there any Moderators around on this forum? Surely somebody can look into the problem and get it fixed?

There are about 15 posts in this thread from moderators. We're working hard to try to find and fix these problems but there are about 5,000 possible combinations of reasons that would cause a user to stop getting emails... everything from their ISP blocking the emails to users accidentally clicking "unsubscribe from all" and about 4,998 reasons, and most of them we don't have control over since they happen after the emails have left our system.

Our staff and the engineers have been spending a lot of time and effort to resolve these problems and we appreciate our member's patience as we work through all the possible causes of problems. In some cases we can figure it out and in other cases we can't.

Until the problem is fixed, the quickest way to read your subscribed threads is to log in and click on the word SUBSCRIPTIONS at the top right of the page (near the log in and message notification button). You will then see a list of all your subscriptions.

I had tried the steps in that list previously and all was good there.....


Now today, I did actually get a notification for this particular thread now......so Im hoping it keeps working for all future ones.
