Well....the little frizzle made it into this world. However.....BOTH her parents are black...and...she is as white as snow...well...yellowish snow. I didnt think this would happen?? Will she maybe get darker in a few hours or days? I hope not!
My second hatchling looks to be white as well...if so, I already have her name...WAFFLE!

If she is white, she is the daughter of Pancake...so seems fitting. Anyways...2 more today..so thats 3 total. Come one babies....you can do it!

well....today is day 24...another pip!! Oh my!

I didnt think they would take THIS long! However this new pip seems determined to make it out.

Now I am wondering just how long to leave them all in there? I wont take them out to candle...even tho I REALLY want to! Its slow going, but so worth it!

My goodness, you are going to be a pro at this when this is all over.

Look at it this way, they have more one on one time with you by taking their time hatching.

Well, my first little one that hatched is quite aggressive! She is only 3 days old, and already pecking my fingers....I tried to put the newest ones in there with her, but she pecked them...so they are seperated for now. hopefully they will get along better in a day or so.

Day 24......2 more hatched today!

I cant believe they are still hatching! The first one to hatch was pipped yesterday...it was peeping pretty good, then today started to sound tired, and could not get out. So, I took it out, and carefully started to peel back the shell only. I didnt get much off, when it just popped out!!

Right in my hand! I quickly put it back in the bator..and so far, its very vocal..and moves around quite well. After about 30 minutes, I heard it peeping quite loudly, so I peeked in ...and there was another one! I didnt even see it pip!

Looks like golden comets. So, final count.... 5 !

Im going to give the other eggs a few more days....just in case.

Deb! that is very exciting!!

Zap is a very vocal chickie, I have the one egg sitting in the bator. It has a pretty good air cell so I'm leaving it be and will see what happens in a day or so. Maybe a miracle eh??

This poor chick here though.... when it hatched it had yolk all over it...like glue that stuff is! I got the body washed up and fluffy now...the head was difficult but tonight I noticed one eye stuck shut so I rubbed warm water over the eye and head...mind you it is soooo tiny!! (bantam frizzle) but I managed to get the eye to open fully and wash the head a bit....seems fine for the stress of bathing!

Lisa.....I have a chick that seems to hqave the same problem. One eye keeps sticking shut. I just put a drop of warm water on it, and it comes right open.
My little Frizzle that hatched is about the size of a hummingbird! Sooo Tiny! My first time hatching, who would have thought cochin banty frizzles would be SOooooooo small!?? As soon as its dry, I will get pics...would love to see yours! Oh, and its white!! Form a black mom and dad! HMmmmmm. LOL
