Completely off topic with apologies but I was living by a dairyand meat operation while I apprenticed as a dog trainer for four months. They were feeding their cattle EXPIRED CANDY, tons of it.

I'm sorry, but that just totally freaked me out. Oh ugh. The other stuff is more awful, but getting food from cattle fed with the other ick and candy just made me cringe.

I am starting with the deep litter method for our chickens as well. I loved this thread.
