No power for 24 hours

Oh you guys are gonna love this one. We have one of those inverters! And I actually considered trying to use it. BUT... My garage door opener won't work without power, and hubby had the only key to the regular door into my garage. (he is getting the lock replaced, and only had a spare handle with one key! Nice timing!)

OMG, never thought about that, the garage door opener not working with out electric OMG, that would stink.. LOL

It looks dead, heck it's not even breathing, lol, so you warm it up slowly and if it's still not breathing once warm, it's dead. Same with eggs... egg rolls out of nest and has been sitting out in the cold, so you candle it and it looks dead, right? Don't count on it, warm it up and if it's still looks dead once warm, it's probably dead.

I believe it! My incubator malfunctioned on day 14 of my Pekin incubation (2 eggs). It was off for about 12 hours - thankfully my experimental homemade incubator was on and warm. "Number One" hatched on day 27 and "Baby" hatched on day 28. Hardy little guys! Baby did have a difficult hatch that required intervention, but they are a little over a week old today!

Couldn't even get to my car to charge my phone, much less go anywhere. Couldn't have traveled anyway, 3 feet of snow and it got down to minus 10 degrees that night! Thank god for my wood stove. I would have been SOL without it!

LOL Ok I see what they are saying now, so even if its dead as a cold egg, you can't count it as dead until you warm it up. OK well that's kind of silly.. but I can see it since, I have had some still alive even though the shell was cold..
