thanks for your input and I agree too....Im just wondering where the first one's tail is(he has the bone so its not the type of chicken that isnt supposed to have feathers there). Also, where are even some wattle buds? This certainly has been a mystery chick growing up. It didnt start getting feathers at all until so late. I cant wait to see how he finally looks. Ill share pics when I know more about these two. I agree that the second one is most likely a pullet. They were both raised by me so they cling to me as if Im mama. Funny that the first one is much more so though...isnt that a female characteristic in chicks? It has been in the broods I watch grow up with a hen as their mama.

Well BunBun is definitely male and has a huge tail today at 4 months. His mannerisms are still more like a female. His comb hasnt grown at all nad still no wattles or crowing yet.

Cute Petey-Poo is a little pullet. Im going to have to wait a few months for any eggs from her. She is just 3 months today.
