I live in New York and a local zoo takes care of injured animals do your duck maybe able to got there if you can contact them.

You could try reaching out to Carolina Waterfowl Rescue--they are located in NC, but are very well connected with rescues all over the country.

Ooo I remember one! Try possibly contacting “ Bonita Paradise farms “ they are a farm that is super into NOT eating animals and they have some rescues. We’ve contacted them multiple times trying to buy ducks and they have always been super sweet and responded fairly quickly. Worth a shot.

Sorry to hear you can’t keep you’re ducks,

I had several cockerels I couldn’t keep. Put them on our Marktplaats (the Dutch craiglist). Write that Im looking for a new home (not for cull),
If someone had interest I talked with this person on the telephone to find out how the situation would be.

Once a woman liked to have my cockerel , but she lived in a village centre with neighbours nearby. So I urged to ask the neighbours first. The woman did and was grateful I asked. The neighbours didn’t approve.

But I had successes too, someone who had two sons and wanted to give them both a cockerel/rooster as a pet. Someone living rural who had 5 laying hybrids and liked to have a rooster to protect them. He came to collect the rooster with his mother, wife and daughter!

I’m sure there must be someone out there who likes to have (more) ducks and would be gratefull gor an opportunity to get a few ducks or a whole flock for free.
