3 AM again
#insomnia’s booster shot
starting to wear off

brushing my hair now,
Determined to break cycle;
Arduous process

A decade ago
I finished that chapter too.
It was a wild trip

we all learn lessons,
what take away’s do you have?
Any safe for here?

I think I’m worthy,
don’t know what to offer up;
Ego is AWOL.

F*E*A*R kept me restrained,
heart was locked in the closet;
still haven’t found keys

Removed the hinge pins
pulled the door out of the frame
heart hid from bright light

As time permits me
to offer next year’s morsels
for folks to chew on

some Will leave a mark
some may be Hard to swallow
all the while, we Grow

Melting seals the tomb,
protecting the fragile core;
keystone has evolved!

Several steps forward
a couple steps backwards though;
ahead of the game

Holidays distract
all the struggles in my brain
just like short circuits

Like those in real life,
to earn one’s trust as a friend;
not just electrons

eventually
online become in real life;
Friends in this small world

life’s to short not to
be authentic everywhere
& pay it forward
