aaah, now i see! well, figure out how much profit you want to make above what you spent and go from there. goose eggs alone can run $5 a piece.

personally, i wouldn't cheap out on this.

Hi Goose Hatchers. I've got 6 goose eggs in my bator - 4 Pilgrim and 2 African. It's day 9 and I candled today and saw definite movement in 3 of the Pilgrims. The other Pilgrim had a dark blob and was eerily still. The two Africans are clear. They look infertile to me. I figure I'll wait until day 14 or so to cull bad eggs.
This is my first time incubating ANYTHING! I realized I'd better get some help, so here I am. Also, I'm in a home-made incubator. It seems to be doing well though. Will you guys help me through this? Now that I see life inside, I'm kinda :/nervous.

Day 10

I candled eggs again this morning and I had to struggle to see veins, and the little blobs were not moving or very little. so at this point both eggs look Iffy.

day 13

Eggs still iffy

I found out I will be gone day 28,29 and 30 ! and I am leaving them with mother
