Funny about collard greens: I get a huge bag each week from our co-op --that is all the scraps and outside leaves of produce that they throw out each day--- for my goose Joey. They donate to this cause each week as they like our mission. Anyway, last week I was not feeling great and was rather housebound due to the freeze. So I decided to cook soup using some of Joey's greens as I was out and didn't want to brave the elements. Well-- it turned out to be one of the best soups I've ever had! I had to laugh-- made from discarded " scraps!" LOL!

Came from the river K, not all mainly the drakes, there is a large feral Muscovy flock that lives on our mountain river thank goodness not out part or I would be in the poor house trying to take care of them all. These that were dumped here where an isolated group. The Muscovy's could fly but there were 3 mixed Scovy/Pekin drakes that couldn't and were starving so I made friends and brought them home. One got taken by a pred before I brought them home I found a home for the other 2. I have 1 drake left from the River and he will be 10yrs old this coming spring.
