This is my first post with my first set of chickens(18 Cornish X Rock, 21 Pearl White Leghorn) all about 7 weeks old. I'm in Wanchese, NC on the southern tip of Roanoke Island in Dare County also referred to OBX.

Hi All! I'm moving from Iredell County, NC to Davie County, NC in 2 weeks. I moved back home to NC in January of last year. It's been about 20 years since I have lived somewhere that I could have chickens. I'm so excited!!

I think I'm about to drive my husband nutty with all the chicken talk! I always visit my Dad's flock when I'm at his house, as well as my uncle's, and soon I can have my own again! I found BYC while searching for info on bantams. What a treasure trove this site is! Thanks to everyone for so much great information. I look forward to delving even more deeply in coming days.
