I'm in Lake Waccamaw. It's in the SE corner of the state. I've got a small flock of australorps at the moment with plans for more come spring. Glad to see all the NC people here.

Birdman18, no chickens in the city limits of Burlington, you're o.k. in Alamance County. Don't know about permits needed for poultry or livestock in the county. Call the county offices or the Ag Extension office. Good luck to you!

Bryson City - it's 1 hr west of Asheville in the very western part of NC in the mountains. Anybody else out there west of Asheville???
