NC chicken man, you wouldn't happen to have worked on Griffith road, they have been doing construction there for a couple of weeks now. Water main stuff, I think. That would be too crazy if you were one of those guys.

I drive by there twice a day to and from work.

Hey, Goatkeeper and Hens, I live about 6 miles east of Statesville off hwy 70 E. My daughter, granddaughter, and I have about 7 acres that we are finally turning into a farm. I work around the southeast at nuke plants, and right now I'm working down at Oak Island. I'm sure most of you know where THAT is. I lived there for 11 years, then decided to come home. I'm within 20 miles of where I grew up, close to Cornelius. I hope to retire next spring, and then I'll have time to do what is most important to me--grow organic food, pastured chickens and cows, a few goats, guineas, and teach my granddaughter the important things of life. That's what its all about...
