Hmmmm. I wonder if I need to switch up the little ladder to make it easier for them.
On another note, Esme has been laying again for a couple of weeks but today I found her beautiful dark brown egg in a nest box full of her underfluff!!!!!!!!!! There is just NO WAY she's trying to go broody again, right!?!?!?
A little ladder or ramp would help them. They are very cute. One of my cochins and my only Light sussex pullet continually stayed broody this summer no matter what i tried with them. Eggs/ no eggs let them sit on some and switch them out for near hatching eggs ftom the bator and let them hatch them. Had to take the chicks out as I haven't gotten a chance to fix a proper broody pen and box.
