We enjoy our squash on the grill....would this process also work for us wanting to grill during the winter? I usually cut up the squash long ways and into 4 long pieces....can I use this same process?

I don't think so. But you could try. As for cutting I dont suppose it matters.

Thanks. They haven't started laying yet LOL. Hopefully they will decide to start soon.

OOO ok...then when their combs pop back up and get bright red...they are getting ready or have started laying.

Still...no worries, probably the heat.

I know it's not easy being hurt and still have chores to do. Next time you might think about sending somebody else up a tree for a coon

Hollow, Candle, and Scott- well now everyone knows I'm a klutz my mom is helping with the chickens(bless her heart). And my wonderful golden Shadow has been helping me get around and do stuff, which is not easy for him as he is 12 and has arthritis(sp?). Sadly this isn't my worst fall . O the racoon has been safly relocated to the lake 4 miles away, she was not all pleased with me. I'm in more pain than I should be because I'm trying really hard not to take the pain pills. Well… I'm off to bed I guess.

Once again we didn't go all that far down Hwy 40 but we had a
great adventure. We found a little place in the El Malpais park
and it was something I never even considered doing. We found
a place that you could hike up and into a dormant volcano. It was
a cinder cone volcano with a long lava tube. The tube had colapsed
at the causing a natural cave that stays at 31 degrees or lower and
has 20 feet deep ice pond in it. The whole area and history was
fasinating and there is nothing like learning hands-on about
something.
