[Miss Lydia]

Hey everyone! I'm new here and just found this thread! I live outside of Winston Salem on a tiny homestead.

This was taken last year. I still have the rooster, Ruffles, and the hen, Peaches, on the far right. Dorris in the back middle was killed by a raccoon and Floppsy in the front was stomped by my donkey

This is a recent pic of Peaches and her chick Plum.
I bought them as RIR's but Peaches was always lighter (hence the name) and has a ring of black tipped feathers around her neck. Do you guys think she is a mutt or just pretty?

I can't wait to get to know everyone!

Is anyone going to WCA tomorrow? I'm not able to go but there is a quad of really nice birds that I've been wanting that ARE going. Can anyone help me out??

Good Morning, Everyone!

Hopefully another nice day today. Hubby and I (and Jake) are going to go over to Wilmington for the gun show and out to a nice lunch today. (another fancy date!)

Today is Sept 2. 10 days left until testing. I'm counting down. The waiting is killing me.

The turkeys will be the hardest. Hubby leaves on a trip several days earlier, so we must lock them up before he goes. I can't get them locked up by myself. They are sooooo going to hate being locked up for three days! The chickens get locked up every night, but the turkeys sleep on the rooftops and in the trees so are out of predator range.
