Matt A NC:
Can I find a plug to replace one of the solar lights at any hardware store? The reason I ask is the lower wattage lights & LEDs that I am looking for are solar because we do not have power in the area of the property where they are. I don't see having any power there in the foreseeable future either. I do not want a repeat of this Feb.

I am in Westen Burke County.

Got results.

The turkeys are clean.

The chickens are not.

I'll be discussing it with hubby tonight, but I'm thinking we'll be slaughtering chickens and concentrating on the turkeys. If hubby has another preference, like attempting treatment on all the remaining chickens, I'll do it, but the odds are pretty low. Plus, they put the turkeys at risk being here. Sigh.

If we slaughter the chickens, the turkeys will be retested in a month-ish. We can treat them preventatively or not as we choose.

Decisions, decisions.

I wasn't thinking about solar. I don't know the voltage and if plugs are available.

Good evening everyone!! Had a LONG LONG LONG day but incredible fun with Beth today!! I resisted taking home a few dozen chickens/geese/ducks - okay just about everything she has I wanted to take home...aside from the silkies and bantams....LOL. I will say I am NOT a dog fan, but Ladybug was cute & sweet...she had a thing for my feet though!!

The only thing that happened there...my eldest DD actually didn't CRY upon seeing the dog and actually let it lick her hand...she did; however, cry because the guineas went NEAR her, because the geese LOOKED at her and a chicken was close at hand. Anyone have suggestions on "curing" her sudden fear of chickens because of a VERY protective mama hen here??

Our newest addition:

Donald, Daisy & Daphne - a trio of Chocolate Muscovy ducks!! DH LOVES them!!

Our second newest additions:

These are unnamed and will remain unnamed/untamed....they will be referred to lovingly as: anti-tick system!!

Funniest part of the day: my DD saw Beth's bunnies and on the WHOLE way home...kept telling me her baby needed a bunny!! LOL

Great news Hollow, sorry about the chickens though.
