Went to WCA today..took a bunch of chicks, a few young Pigeons and 2 dozen hatching eggs.
Came home with nothing.

Happy Sunday everybody. I haven't commented in a while but I've been lurking in the shadows. My sweet husband is apparently a glutton for punishment and bought me this huge GQF incubator for Christmas. It was gently used and looks brand new. My first eggs I've ever hatched are in it now and should hatch February 1st. I'm so excited I can't stand it. I hope everyone enjoyed this nice weekend!

Lots of folks at the beginning. Price were good. Nothing to great. I came home empty handed.

I may have to take you up on that. Lakenvelders are wonderful birds. Not getting the other babies until next weekend. The coop I ordered is suppose to come Monday so I can move the 3 I got in the fall in there. Been a rough time with chickens last year and now this. I lost all 6 of the Belgian D'Anvers I ordered. I think that all got something at birth to lose all of them and just them. Just lost little Ava the day after Christmas, now this.

I have Belgian D'Anvers if you'd like eggs or I could set a few for you... hubby is my hatch master...lol
Just let me know if you are interested...

Trying to decide if I should go to WCA. I have some chicks and eggs I could sell. Or just go to watch.

Yep... Beth left empty-handed... I left empty-handed, too... wish I could say the same for DH.

On the bright side... we sold 4 chickens and he brought one home.

So chicken math didn't backfire too bad today.

He brought home a Shamo... he is huge.... and the worst part... he paid $33 for the danged thing.

That is super exciting...I would make myself crazy staring at the thing if I had an incubator. 

It's looking like I'll be spending lots of time with it! I never knew 21 days could feel like an eternity!
