Another is suppose to hatch Sunday. We tried big sister, no interest so we are moving the eggs from nest at night to food and play area during the day. Mama seems happy with it. I could hear the one that hatched during the night peeping thru the egg last night so I don't want to give up now. Just a few more days to go. This is when an incubator could come in handy. What am I saying not me to

It has been an amazing experience.

I am crazy! I know! DH knows too! lol! I bought hatching eggs on ebay that will be here on wednesday. Problem is I don't own an incubator and don't really want to because this hatch will max out my flock and I don't want any more. What should I do? buy a incubator and resell after the hatch, find someone with an incubator to hatch them for me (for $ of course) or try to make a homemade one?

Got to love the DH.........he does not like a mean roo but it seems on of DDs
project roo decided that he was going to take on the DH and spurred the
devil out of him all the way up his arm. That roo is fixing to die if he keeps it
up. I'm just glad the old bread trick worked on DHs arm as it was getting
infection settling in......all hot and swelling........use the trick and next day all
is right again........just call me Doctor Mom

I am approx. an hour and half from you..if you want to drive them out to me, I can hatch them for you. Or bribe a hen to go broody...or break down and buy an incubator.

Hahaha
I have a basic Farm Innovations incubator, it'll only run you around $40 and it has worked great for me.
Some people do really well with homemade ones, but too much could go wrong for me I'm not very mechanical!

What kind of eggs did you buy?
