Hello! I read here often but do not post much. I have a mixed flock and enjoy having different and unique breeds. Does anyone have or know where I could find a turken?

Added a 10X8 pen Friday almost 7 feet tall.....took the twins to the zoo today so adding chick pens in upper level Monday plus dividing floor for breeding stock and adding hutches/coops.... gettin' busy up in here!

Plus Cochin and Spitzhauben hatching today...need to swap or sell some silver penciled Cochin bantam chicks..
Hint hint

There are hatcheries that sell them, but that's the only place I've seen.
Or if you have an incubator, there are hatching eggs on ebay.
But I haven't seen someone local selling them, sorry I couldn't be more help!

I definitely do no have a problem now, believing that our birds are molting. It kind of looks like some of our girls exploded, leaving their feathers all over the place. Now, my question is how long do they usually molt?

I am crazy! I know! DH knows too! lol! I bought hatching eggs on ebay that will be here on wednesday. Problem is I don't own an incubator and don't really want to because this hatch will max out my flock and I don't want any more. What should I do? buy a incubator and resell after the hatch, find someone with an incubator to hatch them for me (for $ of course) or try to make a homemade one?

I sent you a pm, we don't live too far from each other you can borrow mine...
I'm such an enabler lol
Maxed out my flock right now, culling in late winter/early spring :)

Trying a fall garden for the first time this year-- a few weeks ago got everything in the ground in 500 sq ft of gardens.
Weeding today, and notice everything looks like a tomato plant, which I think is kinda odd.
Mention this to DH and he tells me "Oh there were some rotten tomatoes on the ground so I threw them in before I rototilled"

Hahaha maybe it'll stay hot?

I am approx. an hour and half from you..if you want to drive them out to me, I can hatch them for you. Or bribe a hen to go broody...or break down and buy an incubator.

I am delayed the egg shipment by a week, gives me more time to figure out what I am doing! Thanks for the offer! Hopefully I can figure out something closer to home.
