Good morning folks

It is getting to that time of the year........hatching season.
It's a season that can last quite some time but is always
fun and rewarding. It always seems to me that around here
spring seems to just burst in.....not a slow or gradual event.
It's hard to know when it will happen.

hope everyone has a good day

Banriona-- I am SO sorry!!!

Hollow-- that's crazy! How would a horse end up there??

Starlingdaly-- Good luck with the eggs. Do you remember who you bought from? I love my exchequer leghorn, I was so sad when I had to give away the boy, he was pretty! And I hate seeing animals suffer, but I won't lie, I wouldn't have missed the possum!!! They've gotten more of my birds than hawks, but I think I have finally outsmarted them with my pens now.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I was looking at the weather forecast & they're saying SNOW next weekend NOOOOO!!!!! I want it to stay warm.
Got a ton of seeds started in the trays & had them sitting on the table in my breezeway until I watered & brought inside to start. My silly chickens dug all through them, knocking some over, eating seeds, now I have no idea what's still planted. I figured they had enough other stuff in the yard they'd leave my trays alone, there aren't even seedlings started yet! Supposed to be some bad storms today, hope everyone stays dry!

My chickens/ turkeys will go after anything new in their area, even new dirt. In fact, I think new dirt is the most loved new thing. As they will immediately dig all through it and then bath in it.
