That's probably the best you can do with pullets.. that's what I'm doing with an order I have put in...my son wanted 3 silkies and really wanted a hen and a roo.....so he's ordering 3! LOLI know, so i'd like to get like 3 and pray.
Where's the swap at?
I know a guy coming that has mottled cochins idk if hes bringing any .. I can find out if u like
Good description, RF!EE's lay any color of egg and can look like anything. Hatcheries sell these as americanas. Ameraucanas are a true breed that is muffed and bearded and lays only blue eggs and come in 8 show-able colors (project colors like the lavender are in consideration for being admitted to the APA Standard). A few hatcheries have started to sell true ameraucanas, but want like $14 a chick.
Araucanas in the USA are rump-less and might be tufted or clean faced but lays a blue egg only and are also a true breed. As far as I know no hatcheries sell true araucanas.
There's a thread in the "breeds, genetics, and showing" section on the main forum that has a thread that explains the differences really well.
