North Carolina

From this picture, he doesn't look frizzled to me. What did they tell you he was? I was annoyed I missed the swap because I have silkie and a bantam cochin boys I need to rehome.

{ I am going to the farmer's market thing there on the 29th to see if I can unload some eggs....}
The guy was telling me at the same time a lady (old friend) was talking to me....so i didn't get the detail i wanted. She actually bought it and then told the guy to put it in my car! LOL It is a frizzle and with all the feathers going all which way, I could't place what kind he was. Happened to come across the sultans when I googled the 5 toed feet and they also showed a lot of "tuff" around the comb on top.....thought maybe he might be a variety of that breed... He's really pretty with those curved tail feathers and feathers going everywhere....not sure since I haven't seen a lot of breeds.

Sultans are solid white with vulture hocks- will see if I can find my pics.

I know I had better ones. Hope I didn't lose all of them. :(

That is a Sizzle. A silkie/frizzle cross. They are a novelty and make cute pets. The comb is a walnut comb(silkie comb), but has the points from the crossing so not an exact walnut comb.

Wouldn't it have dark skin, though? Hmmmm- frizzled cochin + silkie = sizzle; maybe it could have yellow skin. Wattels are cochin length, but the comb isn't standard for either breed (although supposedly the single comb is recessive and can pop up in silkies}.
