Setting a dozen or two Barnyard Mix hatching eggs from my own flock and my stepbrothers and also some PUREBRED Ameraucana hatching eggs! I have washed/sanitized these eggs and am wanting to see the results.. anyone ever washed hatching eggs and incubated them before? P.s. I never wash my eggs when going to hatch them but there's so much controversy that I wanna see for myself!

Wilkes County, a friend of mine needs some blue laced red wyndottes does anyone know where he can find some in NC?

I have never washed mine.. I have received hatching eggs via mail that have been washed or wiped with a bay wipe. ZERO hatch.
On the flip-side, I have read that some people dip their eggs in some disinfectant or antibiotic ( I cannot remember) after a few days of incubation to kill contagious diseases.
Keep us updated.....I am curious of your results.

p.s. I will look for the info in dipping the eggs.

at TSC in Rocky Mount.......I thought it was a rose comb but this is a frizzle....????.....maybe crossed with a sultan????  Was mainly looking at the comb/5 toes, yellow skin

Sultans will have a V comb. Sheesh, if you I had known you were looking for boys, you could have come over and taken your pick, since I'm not real far. :/

And sultans are bantams, too, fwiw.

From this picture, he doesn't look frizzled to me. What did they tell you he was? I was annoyed I missed the swap because I have silkie and a bantam cochin boys I need to rehome.

{ I am going to the farmer's market thing there on the 29th to see if I can unload some eggs....}
