Hi
I am in GSO/KVL/WS area. What's the feed store name?
Our local Ace in Walkertown carries a good price on local milled feed but it has animal by products and I am all grain. My best price for RocknRooster for example is at the TSC locally owned but it's in King. I work in Winston so not bad. It's 12.99 50lbs. I will be in Raleigh saturday at the Urban Chicken flock swap. Not too far from you. I know some folks that come from Mebane. Tim.

Tim have you checked walkertown feed mill right there where 311 &66 meets next to the post office?

So I know I lurk a lot and don't post much but I just have to share some pics. We built a new coop this year and I have loved watching how the chicks this year have colored out...

This is the new coop...pallet siding...along with hens from my original stock.
Front and center is "Mother Clucker" who has had a 100% hatch rate with 10 eggs for the last two years. Don't tell her I said so but she's a real witch even if she's a good mom.

A 2014 pullet.

This girl was a trade with a friend...she doesn't roost with the rest...she flies on top of the coop and roosts in a tree then jumps back IN the run in the morning.

The only rooster I kept from this year's brood, "Lucky Clucker"...half dark Brahma and half Barred Rock

The big man in the back ground..."Uncle Clucker"

Love all the color variations.

Nice coop and good looking flock !

Okay, I know this is silly, but I am proud..

I GOT MY FIRST EGG TODAY! It is a fairly decent size, so I am going with my LF Wyandotte, vice my silkie. My DH called it my thousand dollar egg...probably what I have invested so far in coop and birds and food...So tomorrow I will get a five hundred dollar egg, and today's will depreciate.
