I'm so sorry Ruthann!

I know it might not help much to hear this now but maybe your body just wasn't ready quite yet. My last pregnancy was one complication after another and ended with 5 weeks of bedrest and 3 trips to the hospital for preterm labor. And the doctors all said it was from getting pregnant again so quickly. I'm sure you will be blessed with many more babies!!!!!

It suddenly occurs to me that these chickens seem to have much more control of this whole baby makin' thing than us humans do. What the heck!?

Sooooo - NO NEWS on my eggs.

Man. I'm really trying to be patient, but I just don't know what to do if these eggs don't come! I really feel like Monday is the latest I can safely wait to set these eggs I've already received. I really hope I hear something soon.

for your little one! Hope the rest of the hatch is going well!

WELL... crapola!

The seller finally emailed me and said they won't be shipping out my eggs until MONDAY! So, I guess I am going to go ahead and set these tomorrow and try my 1st go ever being a very staggered hatch!?!? I need help from you incubatin' pros!!! I am trying to breeze through some posts and have read that its best to have them a week apart. OK... so that's about all I've figured out. Do you think that my future brooder could possibly be used as a hatcher if I can somehow figure out a way to get the humidity high enough??? Any bright ideas??? Man I need to go to bed but I'm going to be stressing about this all night long I just know it!!! Oh dear.

Well I have 1 little Serama out, woke up this am and little one had made a hole on the side of the egg. Only her foot and half her head was out, so I popped her out. (a "her" I hope) 1 more pipped & nothing on the 3rd. Still not giving up hope! I will candle the 3rd tonight, if it doesn't pip.

OOOO AND............ I ordered 10 ducklings from Metzers yesterday to ship out on the week of the 28th.

I am getting 2 Black Runners, 2 Chocolate Runners, 2 Pekins, 2 White Crested & 2 Golden hybrids (the layers). All Female, I have enough males, hopefully this will even it out, otherwise I may have to rehome some of the boys.

And I really do not want to do that.

My advise is if you are using styro bators or any small bator to use 2 of them... One to incubate and one to hatch, it will help allot especially if you are going to stagger.
