This is how my son and I spent our afternoon

going on 2 years with chickens, I started with Muscovy ducks and a goose, then fell in love with chickens. I have had ducks for 7 years and the same ones too.
so you jumped in with both feet I see with 30 chickens and 3 roos.

When I saw the sign at my local feed store I started talking to my husband about getting some. When ordering day arrived I asked him how many I should get. He had thought all the different things that could happen and did NOT expect me to keep ALL of them alive.. lol.. So far I have proved him wrong

We figure the first week or so after moving to the coop it could be possible we may lose some here and there.. lol.. His logic seems plausible but I thought it was a lot too!

In the long run some will be used for eggs and some for meat.. After watching the movie Food Inc. I promised myself that I would find a way to provide my family with REAL chemical free meat. Next step is some beef cattle
