Bhep good luck with the new babies, if you end up with to many sliver laced polish roos, let me know.

SQ glad to hear about the new babes for the family, hoping they get more good news with the hubby/ daddy.

I don't think Faison would be much further than my Benson farmhouse. It may also be easier to find. Despite being within a literal stone's throw of 40 (and I mean my mom used to tell me and my brother to go play on I-40 while it was being built it is so close), finding it can be a bit of challenge if you don't know the area. It's pretty secluded and as I said, parking may be a problem. If we do it at the Farmhouse, it would be best to wait till spring, we're doing a LOT of work over there right now and the garden and parking areas need to be cleaned of old debris that we piled up while remodeling the house (would hate someone to end up with a flat tire from a 100 year old nail). There isn't any animals currently on the property either and we have no intention of getting any in the near future, so in that regard, it won't be bad.

Hi everyone, thought I would share a pic of my new girl. She is a frizzle Serama and still really young. I owned her mom and dad but a good friend on mine does now. I have been wanting a friz choc pullet to add to my upcoming choc group for next years breeding. I think she is will be a great addition!

This is a copy of the email I received.

NOTE: I do not work for them so please contact them if you can help and you are in the area. I have NO further information.

"There is a large hoarder/puppy mill case near Raleigh that we
desperately need help with. The organization is on site but we need to find
transport for at least 150 birds from Raleigh to Charlotte.

If anyone is able to go tonight to help with feeding and watering it
sounds as if birds are dying right now that need care ASAP. Many are
babies.

If you have a vehicle that can transport birds today or tomororw or a
trailer we can use to get birds please let us know ASAP. This needs
to be done today or tomorrow. If you live near Raleigh or can travel
tonight to help with birds please let us know. "

Vfem - yikes! I wish I could help. Maybe I'll see if my parents could come watch my kids...

I need some advice guys! I am moving the chicks out to the coop tomorrow!!!!! But I still have the two groups of chicks seperated right now. Should I let them all out at once and let them all figure out their new home together or should I just let the bigger kids out and then the littler ones in a week or so? The little guys are 7 weeks today except the Cochin who is about 6 weeks and the big kids are 8 1/2 weeks old. I know when I let them all out in the run last time there was more pecking order type stuff going on than has ever happened in their current pen, so I wonder if maybe the little guys would get picked on less as the bigger ones are busy sorting things out amongst themselves? Or would it be worse?? I also don't want the big guys getting all territorial over their new home making it worse on the little guys if I wait a bit. I really have no idea what the right strategy is. HELP! I have read a lot about integrating chicks but I've never read about another introducing 2 ages both to a new place kinda deal yet.

Thanks guys!!!

PS - HT, so pretty! Bhep, totally deserved - congrats!!! NH - see you @ Kmart possibly! SQ - YAY!!!! Hope your friend is doing better. And HI to ML and anyone else I've missed!!!
