Looks like we all have a ticket for the weather
roller coaster and we will be riding it this week![]()
I'm waiting for some frizzle pullets to start laying

before they actually will start....it's almost like
being a kid waiting for christmas to get here![]()
I'm putting together a few F1 OEs to start the egg

pullets from this cross will lay....only have a few of
those pullets so need to pick which line of the
chart I want to work on the most......hmmmmmmm![]()

LONG LONG night on the home-front. Had LOTS of baby cuddling last night as something seemed to bother DD2 who woke up screaming at midnight!! She cuddled with mama until that mean cuddler decided to put her back into her crib...those eyes popped wide open and she acted like she was terrified!! Spent the next few hours cuddling, singing and rocking (and enjoying EVERY moment) until she was finally out enough (at 4am) to be put in her crib for the night. Good thing all I am planning on doing today is making TO-DO lists!! LOL Grocery shopping, maybe tomorrow....baking bread....maybe after a nap...LOL Supper...who needs to eat?? LOL
Chick update: 2 of my chicks are still fuzzy and have bare spots where the fuzz has fallen off but the feathers haven't grown in yet (back of the neck), so we are waiting a little longer before moving them all out into the newly remodeled (okay...yet to be remodeled) juvi pen. DH is worried that they might not make it without a heat lamp, so he's being cautious!! I gave them a treat of oats the other day to see how they'd do...they were TERRIFIED and then...mad frenzy as the bigger ones tried to out-do the smaller ones. LOL too funny. Sadly, they were NOT too interested in the mealworms I offered them. Guess I can't bribe them. hehe. We locked the guineas out of the coop last night after a particularly ugly incident, DH was fed up! The coop will stay locked for a few days (extra bonus...maybe my POL girls will feel the need to LAY) until things settle down. I am beginning to suspect the problem is that we have 2, maybe 3 male guineas to 5-6 females and the males are the aggressors as there seems to be 2 or 3 that are always attacking one another and anything that comes close to them. Its not "mating season" so I am not sure what is going on...maybe just raging teenager hormones?!? Either way, for the safety of our flock, they were given the boot. They are able to (and have been) roosting on top of the barn since being evicted, so I am hopeful that they will be less aggressive in the coming days....or at least they won't feel the need to roost in the coop?!? Any suggestions/ideas (hehe...aside from the sling shot Beth...although DH was VERY excited to try that out...I said NO...I know him TOO well, he'd probably try to figure out how to shoot a bullet in his sling shot!!)
Have a great Monday everyone.
P.S. I am still looking for 2 (ish) Cochins...if anyone knows of any or plans to hatch some...please let me know!! Thank you!!
