We have acquired a pot-belly pig. I did NOT want one, but she was in need of rescue, and I couldn't say no. She is a joy. Her name is Bella, and she is a year old. I am learning every day. She lives in the barn (makes a comfy bed out of shavings in "her" stall) and roams around outside all day. She makes us laugh all the time, what a character. We have so many stories already. I guess she has found a forever home.........
I want a diverse flock also for my first girls, Im thinking a buff orp, a buckeye (love the dark red), and an americauna (sp?)...cannot resist the green/blue egg...
We have one coming with our chick order in April. They seem to be an interesting breed, I especially like the idea of chicken mouse hunter. The Buckeye was in my original list but they seem like a hard bird to find!
Hi Beth,
Are you going to bring the Serama eggs to Fayetteville Thursday when you come to the doctor's office ? If so, could you tell me what time to come by and pick them up and the address of the office ?
Thanks .... Hope you have a good day !

any chicken worth their feathers will eat a mouse, the problem comes in that the mice don't normally come into the chicken's area til after dark when the birds are asleepWe have one coming with our chick order in April. We give our young birds mice left over from the snakes. They love it and it is really neat to watch. LOLany chicken worth their feathers will eat a mouse, the problem comes in that the mice don't normally come into the chicken's area til after dark when the birds are asleep
