North Carolina

I am so tired of all this rain here in NC. I got some amerucanas/ee last week. They are 7 weeks old. I am excited to see what color egg they will end up laying. They were supposed to be amerucanas, but I think that they are EEgers.. I read everyday, just so hard to keep up :)
Not to scare you, and maybe its just me or the way the pics look on my phone, but most of those look to be boys :hide hope I'm wrong.

I got babies now that the birds hatched while I was gone this summer, I dont know if they are pure silkie or some of my projects, I gotta wait til they lay eggs, cause they look like perfect silkies, even in size

I cant stand the waiting much more

Cute chicks.

:th ok the not sleeping thing is really starting to make me cranky, its 2am and this is the 3rd night in a row that I can't sleep. The first two days I took 2-3 hour naps early afternoon, but today i made myself stay up and fight sleep in the hopes that I would sleep when its dark, but alas I feel wide awake and bored and cranky! I want to be doing stuff, cleaning, finish projects that need to be done before spring gets here, i have fences to put up, a duck run to get a done, a turkey pen to set up and a garden to start!! And this stupid rain is keeping me locked in my house, so I can't do anything :rant

Ok sorry for my late night rant, I'm just so cranky and feeling depressed :hit and I just need to vent.

Just keep telling yourself "this too shall pass", and take naps when you can. Sometimes I think the pregnant body does these things as practice for when you have an infant! Get a notebook, and when you're awake during hours that you can't be otherwise productive, write down all the ideas that come to you. Use that time for planning, all the way down to tiny details. It'll give you something productive to do so you aren't lying there being frustrated at the world.

I'd tell everyone good morning, but I didn't have plans to be up this early, either. I'm going back to sleep!

Very cute chicks! Mine were 25 weeks when they started laying, seems to take so long...when you are anxiously waiting!

Good morning folks

I must admit that I too would like to push the
fast forward button on some chicks. I want to
get the F2 chicks hatched and grown to POL
so I can see those next generations eggs. I
don't even know if the colors will come out as
I am hoping....... so much to learn on this project

I think you are right there as I couldn't sleep with my first and when she got here neither did she! She was up more at night than the day. 10 months old before she slept through the night

Good luck Wild
