yes the dirt turning is in the run not the coop

good luck G&A

Tick I also have to wait for the silkies to go broody, than it becomes a fight than a free for all when I give up for the summer. But I still love em

Have some sad news to report. We lost Henry today my only rooster. Looks like a hawk did it. The neck and head was a mess. No prints on the ground and only his feathers every where. He is how I got started with raising chickens and how I took the name 2 Stray Roos. He just showed up in the yard one day and 6 months later one of his buddies. When we got the hens, they started to fight so I gave Grissom back to his owner and kept Henry. Rest in Peace my dear Henry and I sure will miss your crows in the morning.

So sorry for your loss... I am sure he had a beautiful life as your chicken.

Thanks. He did have a good life. We let him free range all day and we made a perch on the deck for him for that is where he claim his place. He was a good protector to his girls to. I'm sure they will miss his dances and all his clucks. I know we will. Don't know if I should get another one or not. I don't do any breeding. He did keep us company in the yard. I just wish we were home today of all days.

sorry about your roo 2strays

if you want more lakenvelders come spring I will have eggs and or chicks in both the sliver and golden colors
I may have to take you up on that. Lakenvelders are wonderful birds. Not getting the other babies until next weekend. The coop I ordered is suppose to come Monday so I can move the 3 I got in the fall in there. Been a rough time with chickens last year and now this. I lost all 6 of the Belgian D'Anvers I ordered. I think that all got something at birth to lose all of them and just them. Just lost little Ava the day after Christmas, now this.
