So I just had to share this with everyone...

First...my chicks LOVE the UPS man...poor guy was trying to leave and he had 15 chicks surrounding him - they completely ignored me!! LOL. I wonder what it is that he has, because I NEED it!! LOL
Second...most of you know my hate/hate relationship with FedEx...well DH ordered me some YUMMY organic dark chocolate covered strawberries for V Day!

So FedEx calls me this morning to ask for my address (um...really??)! Anyway, come to find out they weren't expecting to deliver right away they just needed to know if our road was passable. (Yeah okay...SURE). So about an hour ago, I get a phone call (FedEx) and he asks me if there is any other way to get to my house.

So my response was (hehe...I'm feeling MEAN) "Oh, you mean other than by Helicopter?" - in the sweetest voice I can muster.

Seriously, he didn't want to drive down the road because it's a dirt road and it's been raining lately (the office told me this morning that the road looked "extremely muddy and dangerous")! When I called the base this morning I told them then, that UPS, USPS and even my STROLLER have no issues going up/down/in/out of our road/area. So I think he was a little perplexed, but he did manage to deliver the strawberries. Sadly they were suppose to arrive yesterday and by today they were all melted and mushy!!

The company gave DH a full refund because it was a "guaranteed delivery by 2/13". I thought that was nice of them, but they didn't have to. I'm sure after a bit in the fridge they will be yummy...if not...Happy Valentine's Day to some chickens?? (I'll be sure to LICK all the chocolate off first...you know so the chickens don't get hurt on them!!)

I am wondering if I can train an Emu to only attack FedEx trucks...because that would be PRIME!! OOHH...maybe an attack turkey!! I know guineas are worthless, so can't train them. Hmm...my evil mind is working!!

Who wants to start training some attack turkeys?!? I'll be sure to put my order in now!!

Cash is the only way to pay with out the worries.. to bad nobody has any these days!
been doing cash for awhile. magnets around credit cards are bad. Leave all credit cards home and only take the one u may need. That way, only one card is hit. Sign up for any credit purchase alerts on each credit or bank site. it has saved my behind a couple of times before I just started cash unless a major purchase... it your card has a stripe, you are harder to swipe, Don't take the chipped ones anywhere.....request a non chipped card, most will do it but hate to do it... a way to get cash is every time you buy food at the store and use a debit card, take an extra 50 out if possible. Over time, you build a nice cash reserve. also, with me selling eggs, I always have that. Use smaller stores or mom and pop places or small cities, they will have the old school debit scanners...... remember, everyone is out to ripe you off. Lucky that is not true but you have to learn to live like that. trust only yourself, family and close friends. A lousy way to live but look at the reality of what is happening...
Sorry you got hit Hollow. It does suck.... Paypal is pretty good about not getting hit. They also should have a get notice of purchase feature as well. Last bit of info is always check your account monthly. Make sure no new E-mail address have been posted... Most banks or credit cards company as well as Paypal will tell you if anything has changed....
I am not paranoid, I know they are after me.....or really my money. esp the Government!!!!!

oh, yea...

HAPPY VD everyone.....

Hello again everyone... I am just updating on my chicks. I have only lost one of the 25 ordered... I have been worried that they have been cold on my back porch but they are way to big to be in the house.... and starting to get a little sticky, even though I change litter every other day. I just segregated the "meat" birds from the layers that I ordered. The Cornish birds were getting so big.... I am assuming that is good : )

Hope everyone is having a great day!
