As for hides.....they work well depending on what you use, where you
put them and if your birds use them. It's all up to the birds to run into
them at the right time.......most will do that.

Here are some of mine...Do you have any pictures? With these hides do you feel safe leaving your chickens out all day? I am new to this and getting some soon so I want them to be as protected as possible!
I see my last post did not include his photo.. he is pretty .. I am no expert .. I have no answer.. I just wanted to compliment him. lol.. also on other threads not all but some they ignore me tooo ..it may be because I ask too many questions .. idk.I have posted this on the frizzle thread but have had no result...in fact there's NO activity! Went to the breeds, genetics, etc but didn't see any activity since :2007! So it may not apply here but would like some input if there's someone out there who can help me....I acquired this yr old frizzle and I love him. I know he's a silkie roo but was wondering what kind he might be crossed with...Who can guess?????? LOLOLHe's not happy in this small pen,,,got another one on the way...don't feel this on is safe even though I have a D ring on the opener. The bottom is nothing but 2x4" piece of wire which is good for letting him peck at t)he grass (if winter ever ceases!
Good Morning, everyone!newbie here. I live in Willow Springs, out in Wake County. I have six Rhode Island Reds. I'm becoming obsessed and have talked (re: worn down) my boyfriend into letting us get some more. I'm still new to chickens..heck..I'm still new to North Carolina! But I love the site and the forum is very helpful. Here are some of the ladies:![]()
I really like the lavender Orpington chickens and of course, Silkies. Have a great one!
