Weather wasn't as bad as expected here. My rain gauge showed a total of 1.89 inches since yesterday morning.
The girls were happy and dry this morning, but disinterested in my visit. I guess they have hit the "teenage" years, and it's no longer "Cool" to hang out with Dad anymore.

For those that know me...

...I went to the park today and walked the half mile loop. Jake was with me, but unharnessed. No crutches, no brace, no harness. I walked a half mile on broken pavement, solo. I can't wait to go to the MDA clinic next month! Last year I was still in my full leg brace and on two forearm crutches. This year...a world of difference.

I am full of happy.

Well, I've decided that Mr. Sizzle is not coming back..... I have sat my recliner looking out the window, hoping to see his flurry of feathers bouncing in the wind.....Now I want another one... never wanted one before!!

After setting the pump up yesterday as it was raining and letting it run all night, I figured I had brunt the pump out since I got stuck in town when my car died (guess I'm about to get a few dollars so the car decides it needs to eat a few hundred) and couldn't come home to turn it off after the morning run.

I forgot that the kids said the fish were playing free Willy this morning before school. I get home and the fish are still playing free Willy, it didn't even look like the pump had moved anything. So I cross the yard and field to check the other end of the hose and yep it's coming out, need to check to see how much more I need to pump before the neighbor's yard is pumped out so I can start pumping my yard out. Anyone want some free water
