Ugh! Stupid iphone! I just had a nice paragraph typed and my stupid phone erased it. Grrrr. Kitty is better. I switched her food yesterday prior to taking to the vet. I bought blue buffalo limited ingredient because honestly she does have a sensitive stomach. It was 14 bucks for a small bag like 2 pounds.

ridiculous. She isn't eating much of it. She'd rather have tuna or canned chicken. Spoiled cat. I'd rather her eat that than nothing though. I wonder if pet smart would take it back? Probably not.
Getting to the bear thing...only ever seen 1 in bailey in the woods back behind my parents. And seen just a few in middlesex. Never had an issue with them. Now coyotes? That's a different story. Had a litter of pups a few months back we caught on trail cam. They r so cute. As long as they don't come around my chickens. ;)
One more question? Is there somewhere on the app to get the little emoticons for this? I can't seem to find them. In the computer i have them saved...so I can just copy...paste...but I'm clueless on this app. LOL.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Yay @sbrooks88 about your cat! So glad to hear it was something simple and not too expensive! :)
I have no idea how to do emoticons in the app wait get haha. Were you having any trouble with the app recently? It wasn't letting me reply/post/send messages. I thought it was fixed several days ago but I spoke too soon. It appears to be working today though. :)

Took her to the vet. They said she has an allergy to flea saliva causing her to rip her hair out. Thus in taking way more fur than just cleaning herself. She has a blockage of hair in her small intestine 3 inches long. They gave me cat lax to administer once a day for 5 days and then again after just as a maintaining thing. They gave her fluids and a shot for nausea and gave her revolution flea meds that treats worms as well. But she doesn't have those worms it treats. She has tape worm. *yucky it was 120 bucks for everything. They were fantastic! East wake animal hospital. I explained my situation to them and they said they wouldn't do anything I couldn't afford and added up for me prior to me paying so I would know what I was getting into. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a sick "baby" at home.

now I just gotta wait for her to poop out the huge fur ball. Gross. I really hope and pray that's all that is wrong with her.

great news! hopefully everything will get better!

That's a pullet no if an's or butts about it. Do you need a male to go with her?

Also I have read and pretty sure I have seen on the news about bear hunting on the coast of NC.

Thanks very much for confirming that my boy is actually a girl. I don't think I need a roo at the moment, thanks though. I have lots of babies that might grow up to be roos, so I'll give them a chance.

So sorry to have provided bad information about the bears. I've lived in eastern and central NC my whole life and never seen or had to deal with one. But clearly they are around if folks are going hunting, so I stand corrected. Thanks.

You didn't give bad info. Lots of folks don't know just how near
they are to bears as most bears go quietly about their business.
Folks rarely see them but they are here. So happy the kitty will
recover.

Clousert,
Its best to put them in a building at nite for protection.  During the day 2x4 wire is good.  I also put the 1/2 inch x4 ft. wire two feet out and two feet up the sides of the run. I cover the bottom part with soil. You have to build fort knox.  ;)   During the day the most persistent are the hawks. 2x4 wire on top will also keep them out. if it is attached good.  Good luck with you hens.

Thanks. Yes, I have A-frame coops here and the wire goes all the way up the sides and over the top of my runs and then buried chicken wire out about 8". I will stick with the 1"x2" wire for the new runs then. My runs are securely attached to the enclosed coops here but I've always left the doors to the coops open so that they could come and go into the run whenever they wanted. I guess I will build them the same and see how it goes. I've pretty much decided to use the electric fence around the perimeter outside of all of the coops/runs. I just need to figure out how to do an electric fence since I don't know anything about them :/
