Always a MILLION things to do, and no time to do them. Today was a GORGEOUS day... so I'm happy to say I spent quite a bit of it working outside with the DD. We got her garden done she's been wanting, and we got some birds moved around. I have to go clean one last coop, and water the front garden.
I came out this morning to a couple of the chicks that had squirmed their way out of the broody pen. They were running around the lawn like life was good! Glad I saw them before the cat... she was ready to wreck their fun. After trying to secure everyone, I noticed it totally failed because another escaped while I was working... so everyone, and mama, got scooped up and walked back to the silkie pen. They can handle the protection detail there on their own. They'll have a better chance of surviving in there then out in the yard with a hungry cat!
I just hope that doesn't mess up my hatch due March 28th.
Ok... and finally, my daughter's new garden bed, done and planted (will mulch over the weekend).
