Ok Folks..........I think I need some help or I've just gone nuts. I could have sworn I seen a post here from one of you wonderful folks who had pics of a bator made from an old fridge and I was telling the DH about it but now I can't find it. Can you folks help me find the post or tell how to convert a fridge to a bator? Thank muches

Folknews : My Dad finally spoke to his surgeon, no surgery for his hip! It should heal, his ribs will continue to hurt for a bit. He is allowed to put tolerable pressure on his hip. Mom is feeling better! She dislocated The Hip, its now back in and she is being more careful. Still no pressure on the one leg for another 2.5 months. Just gonna have to have rest and time to heal! The people at CarePartners have been great! God bless them, mom is a bit overbearing at times.

All my chickens are fantastic! The bcm crew is laying great! Brunswick and Ray are still growing! The 11 from the march hatch, they are growing so fast!
The New silkie pair that live on my front porch now,are so fluffy!!! Thanks again Sandy!!! Pics to come, silly battery failure last attempt! Mary-Margret stops by every other day to hold,groom and love them! A truly amazing gift to a deserving kid! I think I might have held them a few times too!

Hi ya'll we are from Bryson City NC 67 chickens naked necks, rhode island reds, black sex links, auracanas, buff orpininton, white leghorn, sea bright , golden comets,lady amherst pheasant and tons of eggs.

Coop Update: We have 1/6th of the roof done (according to DH) while I was able to get about 1/2 of the garden planted. I haven't had this much fun playing in the dirt since I was a little one.

I am still hopeful that we will get the coop FINISHED (minus special touches, paint, and all the little details). The DH seems confident (not entirely) that we will have the roof finished and the walls up. I'm hoping to work on painting the outside with a thin coat of paint too!!

Then the insides will be able to be painted this week!!

Hey All and newbies.

I'm outside for one day and the NC thread goes several pages long.

Did a bit of chic'n trade'n today and added a pretty french black copper marans hen to the flock. She is from the Cottage Hill Lines.

Oh and did I forget to mention 12 speckled sussex eggs to go in the incubator.

. I haven't been here lately, and I missed you all.
Can anyone tell me where can I find a poultry veterinary office in NC (I'm in Albemarle but willing to drive two/three hours), and also how can I register, or what do I need to do, to became NPIP certified. I have few small chicks that I want them to be vaccinated (for what ever is the normal preventive care). Thank you.

I currently have 7 babies out, 1 nearly out, 1 more soon to come and 2 others pipped!!!! I am so happy!!!!

I have 4 left that have not pipped yet, but since tomorrow is the hatch day, maybe I'll get a few more!!! I have one mystery baby - the egg was labeled BLRW but I'm thinking maybe it was mixed up and is one of the black Orpingtons??? I'll have to post pics and get your expert opinions!!!

They're etting dry and fluffy and are just the sweetest! I am in love!
