Yay!!! Go momma!

Little Hope is still in her shell. Cheeping away this morning when she heard me taking to her! Wish I could've taken a day off work to sit and watch her! Its killing me to not be able to go check on her!! DD and I both swear we saw the other egg rock this morning. It would be so awesome if both survived Irene! I promise not to name either one after that dadblanged hurricane!

Love hatchvision!

Good one, Greenskeeper!

I loved it! My kids were so excited this morning when I woke them up telling them one of the eggs were hatching. The each had to go out and take a look! Then each one had to run in and tell daddy all about it. He was a good sport, even after the third telling. Now what am I going to hatch next??? LOL! My other eggs are under a broody and due this coming weekend. Can't wait!!

HI GUYS!!! I hope everyone is doing well, I apologize for not being around much in the last few months. I swear every spare minute is spent trying to keep up with the garden and the chickens.

I have 2 Blue Ameraucana roosters that I'd like to go to a good home. They are super sweet fellas and I would love to keep them, but unfortunately we just don't have the room. They are both true Ameraucanas, with nice coloring and fluffy beards, hatched from nice blue eggs from a fella in Morganton.

Let me know if anybody would like them, I'm willing to meet a reasonable distance from the Asheville/Leicester area.

Here's a relatively recent photo of one of the boys, they've feathered out and plumped up more since this was taken. I can take more recent pics if anybody is interested.

ML.... I have had that license plate pic saved since X-mas time. There was a contest on the New Years Hatch thread. We've been calling this place the chicken ranch since we bought it. We have 2 commercial chicken houses on the property, not in use. They are huge...40x500 each. I am working on moving my birds into one of them, now that it has cooled off, I will begin the coops.
Anyway..... The name is sticking even if we try to come up with something different

don't want anyone to think we are running a house of ill repute.

Congrats on pips & chicks.

I have eggs under 3 broodies due to hatch this week. I had to "throw them a bone" since I used them when the power was out. I don't like to hatch out in the barn, the dang snakes keep eating the chicks.

Although..... I haven't had any signs of snakes since we got rid of the last one.
