just dont know yet! Love that top!

My friend showed me some of her quilts. She made one out of just a whole bunch of pieces sewn into strips. It was neat. Looks so simple. I think my only issue is going to be my utter lack of math. I always hated the subject and was never very good at it.

DH has tried to help me with it as he is a CPA (among many other things) so he works with math and numbers all day everyday! that half of my brain locks up under pressure!

Ruth, are you driving to Cary for chicken feed for a reason? I know for a fact there are closer feed stores. There is even one I told you about off of hwy 42 in Willow springs on your way to our neck of the woods. That should only be an hour?! - I hope your hubby comes home soon.... you're doing an awesome job juggling everything. SUPER MAMA!

I am going to Cary today too actually, thankfully that's only 45 minutes for me. Poor little Zoe bean though... she has to go see her dentist today. Its her first visit and she's PANICKING so badly?! I don't know why, I've never told her about anything bad the dentist does. Would not DARE mention a 'drill' or such. I'm sure she'll be just fine after we get there. She's always so brave, so I don't know why this is bothering her.

She was the BEST when we took her to the hospital for her eye last year. Several doctors and nurses came in to see her because they heard how incredibly well behaved and brave she was, they couldn't believe they had to put this burny stuff in her eye that would make adults act like babies and she just laid there and took it. We left the hospital with 2 ice cream pops the doctors wanted her to have, and she had to stop at the nurses station to hand out hugs. It was an amazingly stress free trip! lol

Anyways, wish me luck... because I'm usually the only one who's nervous and overreacts! (Just ask the hubby! LOL)

but for now... I have found myself wasting time online in search of ways for us to cut our monthly bills. Found some cool sites in the progress I will come back and share with your guys later. INCLUDING SOME FREE STUFF!! Love it!

Did you guys know that Wake County Animal Control has some bantams for adoption? I saw them on their site.

My husband and I do foster care sometimes for Wake County and I always like to see what comes in..I'm not sure what an adoption fee for a chicken might run...

Here she is...taken a while back. She looks the same except bigger comb & whattles. She is laying now. Med. size, med dark egg.

Is that the one off of New Bern Ave? I only house bantams and as soon as I fix coop #3 I'll have room. I'm a rescue junky, 3 of the hens I have now are rescues... and 2 I lost were rescues. I'm crazy for chickens like that! lol

It is that time of year when we start setting mouse traps... they start getting desperate for food and come out of the woodwork... literally!

Is the Control center off of Newbern near the hospital, but I don't think they keep the actual chickens there..I''m guessing someone "fosters" them off site, but don't know for sure! If you find out, let me know!
