Ok.. this is killing me! I have these 2 danged silkies I can't tell are roos or pullets. I am yet to get an egg, and no one is crowing. They're the same size as my hens, but didn't end up with very good crests. They're 10 months old now and I'm erked!

So... pullet or roo?

No Feb show. That show has been rescheduled or cancelled this year. I can't get anyone to give me a definative answer.

The Unifour show is March 3rd and is once again in Morganton this year.

Look like pullets to me.

10 months old ??? I have a Splash Pullet that has been laying for about 2 weeks. She hatched late this summer. So 7 month old about.

Thanks for your reply..... Kevin was very helpful this morning..... I do have a very large dog crate I am going to move in there to place him in, with water and food... Then I will bring him outside everyday to get fresh grass etc... I'll put nuti-drench in his water and hopefully that will help him.....

Another question. Does anyone here dilute oxine, or do you use it full strength?

Hate to say, but got home this evening and "boyfriend" is now in the hen coop in the sky. He is at rest......

Good news, 10 chicks hatched so far and another 10 or so are zipped....... Only day 21 so i will wait until at least day 26 before i remove any unhatched eggs...

Anytime someone wants to come build me a pallet coop I will dig up the pallets I can find........NICE coop
