Country Chickens is trying her hand at putting together a swap meet at a Mebane Southern States. This is her first time trying to do something like this and we are trying to figure out where to start ?? This will be very local to me, as apparently shes about 30 minutes away - yay!

Anyway, any advice Henthymes? I know you have experience with organizing the ChickenStock, I advised Country Chickens to seek you out for some advice.

Yes, cinnamon queen is a sex-linked, and they make great layers! We will be getting several more pullets this spring, since our gals are heading toward year two, but they have fed us well through the last couple winters. We love those big brown eggs!

Nice silkie pic--Gavin, was it? Is he a partridge? That's the one silkie color that I still feel muddled about. Have spent most my time researching paints and splashes for my lines, but will be hatching some partridge this spring so time to start unraveling that color!

Sorry to be delayed replying--a new chick is hatching every few minutes at this point so I'm a little distracted.

Oh, and I am in N. Durham/Hillsborough area!

Oh! And thanks, Scared of Shadows! I can't keep up with you guys! lol Yes, the swap would be at the Mebane Southern States for March 10th and I've already spoke to the manager, who was quite on board. I'm supposed to send him a flyer this coming week and he'll get the okay from uppity ups, then we're full steam ahead. Once I know precisely how to throw on the steam, that is!
