The thunder & lightening is just starting to hit us, so those of you who are further west, I hope you all were safe! Figures the days in which we plan on doing some building, repairing buildings, etc... it has to storm!! DH said he plans to work in the rain so long as it's a drizzle and not a downpour. I get to stay inside with DD - somehow I feel cheated!! LOL...I'm going to have to listen to her call for her daddy all day!! LOL Still, I cannot complain when my potato tower is getting built and the fence is getting finished!! I hope everyone stays dry and has a great day!!

Stay safe, we had some biggie storms come through here last night, at least we didn't lose power this time the other night we lost power for 4 hrs. now i have a brooder going don't want to have to sleep with 4 little EE chicks. lol.

Thank Matt for the gun advice. My uncle is a gun nut and I'm gonna buy an older .22 off him.
G&A- police come out most everytime to warn/ticket the man. I was told that our county has no leash/confinment law, only law that says if the dog kills or destroys anything on my property, I can defend my property.
Animal Control brought me 3 large traps this morning. They told the owner yesterday that as of today the will be seizing all the dogs. So any time a dog shows up in the trap I can call. that they go into the trap and not after my chicken(who are locked in the coop til the dogs are gone)

NH- one of your girl will go broody. You could alway have a small pen made and keep two silkie hens and brood as much as you want

So, is the Fayetteville flock swap on for today or not? I read it was on than it was off. Still too early (Sat. is my only day to sleep till 8am) of any cohesive thoughts, only one cup of coffee so far.

The flock picture is from Sept. Lots has changed here since then. Sold soooo many birds. ! Hatched new ones and re built the coops.
ML.... I NEVER count the eggs.... or bantams for that matter !

So yesterday, my bantam Dark Cornish crowed. I have been in denial on that one.

Then this morning my showgirl hen, crowed like a champ. * sigh*

I thought I saw her try to mount one of the hens...guess I was in denial there too !
