SOOOOoooooooooo Just did a head count. I did not count my grow outs and chicks...But I did include all bantams.

Dum De Dum................................ 205 !
AND 14 are spoken for, so that will put me at 191

What a sad day.... I went out and one of the little silkies died last night.

Beth, it was the one that DD named Pinkie, the one who was dyed w/ kool-aid from you. The ladies in the coop always kept them (Pinkie and her sister) out of the coop at night. It's been so cold the last for nights I had been putting them in the coop. Last night I totally forgot to check, and they were out soaking wet and cold all night and she ended up found huddled in the corner of the run. Her sister is so bummed.

And poor DD, she was just in tears.... not a good day.

Hi i'm relatively new here. Been lurking for a while now on the BYC site, just found this forum. I am from the beautiful mountains of western NC. I just got some chicks given to me, posted some picks to the guess that breed forum, will get some more current and post here later. Not sure what I have but they are cute...well not really they are feathering and look kinda moth eaten right now. My grandson came in and said Grammie have your chicks got the mange? LOL

Hey guys! I haven't been around for a while-trying to get my garden in shape!

I unfortunately lost a pair of my runner ducks yesterday..Does anyone near Raleigh have a drake or a pair for sale? I can buy or trade for fertile runner eggs. I have about 18 sitting on my counter from the last few days..


Thanks in advance if anyone knows of any! I'm not worried about color.

Awwww so sorry to hear that.

If you get another broody..I can get some eggs to you along with the rooster....if you still want him. I do have some chicks due the 10th.
