I started looking at places that supply bulk chick starter...and have found nothing less expensive than what I'm getting from TSC. However, TSC does offer a bulk rate of sorts. If you get 20 bags of feed, and they don't have to be the same kind, you get a 5% discount. When I was raising sheep, that was easy to do. I'm not anymore, and haven't done 20 bags of feed in a while. However, if anyone else uses TSC feeds, and wants to go together to load up at some point, I'm all for it. 5% is that much less out of my pocket. Chick starter, layer pellets, oats, all-stock, dog food.....
But not on a rainy day like today.
My son came in from Boone to take me out for Mom's day...and left today with cooler full of home-grown lamb and chicken. They are never too old to take home-grown food, are they?
