nothing fancy, former racing homers also some rollers.
Lil buggers keep having squabs...lol......but they can be so cute.

I just took Beth 6 young birds last weekend. Let me see what is out there......I know there was 2 more that are still in the nest and there could be even more.......any certain colors you looking for?
I might have some black/white splash and maybe even a tri splash. Do they need to be a sexed pair?

Pretty good day, all things considered - got a good rain for the garden (no watering, yay).

Happened to go onto Craigslist right after a lady here in my little town posted that she was giving her chickens away - her dog was killing them and she needed them gone, she was upset and frustrated. I feel so bad for her, you could tell she loved her birds. I went and there were two left - a buff orpington and a sexlink, both pullets, about 14 weeks old. So, they are here now, they have a good home and I'm so grateful I was able to take them.

I'm so excited about the guineas I have hatching right now.....they are some eggs that someone gave me, and I know they have some different colors (all I have ever had is pearl gray and lavender). I really want some different colors, and just now the first two hatched, and they are something different than pearl gray or lavender

I have no idea what they are, can't wait til they dry off and fluff out so I can get pics and ask for help identifying. Really excited about having some new colors in my flock!

Keep on watching out for those predators.....we have a hawk hanging out waaaay too close to our quail pen and where our chickens run around during the day.

I will take any colors...lol yes a sexed pair would be great thats what I've got now....the rollers I got today are kinda burgandy and white splash

OK, here are some pics of the new babies!!! Ready for some cute???




It is so very amazing to me how fast they grow. Think about a human infant, how dependent on others we humans are. These little guys are up and going on day one! One little guy escaped today, ran into the Jersey Giant's pen next door, but had the sense to hide under their ramp. I ran over and scooped him up! Scared me to death!! Those guys are like 300 times his size!!!
