Thanks for your feedback! I'm not having any problems with any in the flock, just lots of panting out in the chicken tractor. I'm just trying to stay ahead of the game with this heat!! Whew!

Good morning everyone

hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and staying cool.

Funny story- about 3 weeks ago I got 4 guineas, 2 whites, 1 lavender, and 1 pearl gray. They are almost fully feathered and have powerful wings! Now, in my room I have ceiling fan, which is on most of the time, but last night I cut it off and turned my floor fan on. This morning I awoke to loud alert chirps and poop and the floor! I looked up to find all 4 guineas roosting on my fan!

I reached up and put them back in the brooder one by one, and went to get breakfast, when I came all 4 were up there again!

Some of you may know, my neighbors left behind several chickens when theyw ere evicted last summer. There are only two left and i have been trying to catch them for months. Both of them are broody and hiding out in my tractor shed so i was able to catch them and move them with their eggs into the coop in a dog cage. All their eggs are duds because there are no roosters around to fertilize them. Im now looking for about 6-12 fertile eggs of any breed, cheap, preferably free because i dont know if this will work. If anyone would be willing to give me some eggs to let me test, id be glad to let you have any or all of the chicks they hatch.

On Tuesday night.... My oldest chihuahua passed away and on that same night.... her grand-daughter was born... so I was sad & happy at the same time.



I will miss my "Doodle Bug" but her memory will forever live in my heart.



And a little piece of her will carry on.

Mary, I'm sorry about your DoodleBug, but she made lovely grandbabies. It's hard to lose a friend, but it helps when you gain a new one.


(I'm thinking this new pup may end up being just a tad spoiled.)

Good Morning Everyone! Lovely day so far. The chooks are happy, the turkey poults are growing, the sheep are fine, my Boys are awaiting their breakfast...and so is hubby. Life is good.

This is where the puppy, Reilly, heads just about every time he's outside. We're going through a lot of towels! Smart puppy!

I want a dog like this.

. Oh Mary how bittersweet. Maybe you could name her grandbaby Little DoodleBug or something in remembrance of the birth and passing that they share together.
