Jon
I had a hen a couple months back get fowl pox. It got BAD before it got better. I gave her Gallimycin(but tylan works too) for 5 days. Gave her nutridrench for a week. And gave her eggs, yogurt, black oil sunflower seeds, and canned cat food,(of course normal feed too) I gave her one of those treats a day to keep her strength up and give plenty of protien. It took her at least 3 weeks to get better, and she looked really bad before it got better, though she only got 2 sores.

Sorry to hear that. be very careful who you get birds from, and it won't hurt to go and look at where they have been living to see the conditions.

That sure is our plans next time. Im still not sure what our next step is going to be. We have been doing a whole lot of research! Only thing right now I see a problem with is a dusty coop. The dirt is thin and I couldnt breath cleaning it. I dont know what to do for it or if its ok and I just need a mask!

Good morning folks

It's getting colder in the early morning hours
.....makes me think we will not have a mild
winter like last year........maybe if it gets
cold enough it will kill off a good amount
of those extra bugs we seemed to have

I wonder if we will get snow in our area this year
