Less than I would have liked. If I would have held on to them this spring I think I would have done better. My lavender orpingtons did the best surprisingly $20 each. The buff laced were $16 and the gold laced only went for $6. Ducks also went for less than I would have liked at $5 and $9.how did these sell?
But it was kind of expected, not many people are there to pick up birds. Mostly to unload before winter. Spring is when everyone goes a little crazy.
Newbie here from ND, Turtle Lake area. Live on a farm with a good chicken coop that hasn't been used for 30 years. We are going to be sprucing it up and getting chickens this spring. Is it possible to purchase laying hens anywhere in central ND? Our chickens will be allowed to free range, and we have barn cats so we want to avoid having young ones.
. How long does it take for chicks to be big enough to avoid predators like Hawks?
