I have a red Dorking pullet, I think I got her first egg the other day. I have a red Dorking/buff silkie pullet, then I have a silver grey Dorking/buff silkie hen who lays like a champ...and hides in walls to avoid me taking her eggs. I have a red Dorking cockerel over the red Dorking mixes, but he hasn't even crowed yet. I'm hoping to be breeding him this spring. So no guarantees on fertility out of that pen.
My buff Ameraucana hen may still be fertile from my White Ameraucana rooster. Their babies come out in pretty shades of blue and black. I've got her in the hen house. She is getting put with a buff Ameraucana rooster in a week and a half.

how did you get a RD/BS, did you breed these 2? do you have pics? why did you mix the RD & the SGD? just curious? Sounds pretty.

When I made my first purchase of Dorking eggs from Nancy in August, she offered me some dilkie mutts. She was shocked that it was possible that her SG Dorking cock was able to mate her buff silkie hen... But all of a sudden she had dilkies.
I got interest from my birds, so I figured I'd continue the lineage. Here's my red dilkie and red Dorkings

Their feathers are the softest ever, next to actual silkies. And yes, they are not getting too big either. Maybe I'll bring Bonnie in today (and leave her in the car) so you can take a look at her.

Does anyone have a product called Albon? or Sulfadimethoxine. Turn out my sick roo has lice and cocci. I've treated for the lice, and the vet recommended Albon orally for the cocci since the roo probably isn't drinking enough to treat through his water.
