Anyone wanna come shut the chickens in? I've got a hubby that's sick and already went to bed, a son that's doing better, but not by much, and a daughter that just threw up all over her room. Already got her through the bath and into clean pajamas. But I don't think I'll have time for the chickens for a while.
And I'm just joking about anyone coming to help. I'll get to it, it'll just be a little while.

would love to help out, but im too far away, i sure hope everyone gets over this soon.

Oh, Ty i think they are beautiful. They look Blue and the one on the left (Kiddoodle?) has the dark and beautiful head and neck feahers, like my drakes and he looks like a Buff O? Kiddoodle may be a boy. I cant tell with just this one pic, and Weeble looks like he/she has a longer nect and body like the Runners?

What are you incubating now? it sure is addicting huh? but i know you lost most of your flock, so you are building it back up.
I have about 8-10 going into lockdown tonight, i better get to doing that now, b/c i am falling asleep.

Kiddoodle is the one on the left. We believe that he is a he due to the way he sounds and is way bigger. He is from the buff Orpington egg. Weeble we think is a girl and quacks up a storm. She is from the chocolate runner egg and has a lot of brown showing through on her belly and head. I think we can safely say that the dad was one of your blue runners. We love them but they hate us. Lol

I am a 60's - 70's Rock n Roll Hippie, born & raised in Calif... but dont hold it against me, please. I too am on fire for Jesus Christ. Did you go to the "Rock & Worship Roadshow" at the Spokane Arena last month? it was so fun!! Great music... Audio Adrenalin (never heard of them before) they were great; Family force 5, also great; Jeremy Camp and of course Newsboys... i love their drummer, so good.

we wanted to go to the Rockin' Roadshow, but were unable. I love Audio Adrenaline and though I am originally from Southern Oregon, where Californians are eyed suspiciously... my parents were born there, so I would never hold that against you

I've waiting for what seems like ever for Basin Feed to get my pre-order chicks in (no shipping charges!). I ordered some silver laced wyandottes. I called and their order was shorted so they said well we have blah, blah. blah...It being my birthday and all. I said ok I will take some buff orpingtons. I had my daughter on EWU's spring break go pick up some what she called Buff Orphans to the sales people. So she wanted to know what they looked like grown up. We googled up some images. Then she said there were some gold and black sex links there as well. We googled Gold Sex Link..... NEVER EVER DO that.... Totally awkward not safe for work or home images. lol Never have seen my daughter or myself get that red before.
Still sad about not getting the Silver Laced though.

I have had more trouble getting golden laced lately, but lucky me i hatched one from an Uglyfoot egg, golden laced can make the blue laced if bred with a blue.

Hey @UGLYFOOT In your big 'bator do you know if your eggs CAM reaches the bottom of the egg? You can tell by candling from the bottom of the egg (after day 14 or so) to see if it's dark to the bottom or if there is a glow in there.

I think my auto turner is broken and not turning the eggs to the full 45° they need for full development. The first time it happened I thought it was just because the eggs were large or shipped, but this time it's happening even to the little bantam eggs, and the eggs from my own chickens, so I know it's not from shipping.
